Obituary for Sally Jane Mart (Harper)
Sally Jane Mart (Harper) was born in Cuyahoga County- Cleveland Ohio at 7:55am on July 20, 1932; daughter of Glen S. Harper and Marie L. Padgett (Harper). She passed away at 87 years old, in Montgomery County- Trotwood Ohio at 11:08 pm on February 15, 2020, surrounded by her loved ones.
Sally was an avid reader- with a desire and thirst to know “why?”.
Through her paintings, she was able to express who she was and what made her smile. (Roger Rabbit was her favorite to paint.) She had an impeccable pallet for creating baked goods and candies that she enjoyed sharing with others. Her affinity with not only growing within herself and environment around her showed with all the fruit baring trees she planted and took care of for 42 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband- Don E. Mart, sister- Glenna Baber (Harper), half sister- Bonnie LaFrance, son-Daniel Hodgkins, God-daughter- Vickie Richards, and parents.
She is survived by her siblings: sister- Joanne Michaels (Harper), brother- Glen Harper, daughter- Katherine Dillavou (Hodgkins), daughter- Deborah Coots (Hodgkins)
Grandchildren: Elizabeth Alley, Rachel McLoughlin (Alley), Brandy Perry (Stewart), Matthew Alley, Mufven Stewart, Jeremiah Alley, Boj Tidd, Corina Davis (Hodgkins)
Great Grandchildren: Adrianna Stewart, Jordan Davis, Bradley Davis, Alyssa Green, Maximous Hodgkins
Great-Great-Grandchild: Kayden Davis.
The final day has come and gone...we will all miss you very much! However, we know you are with God, as you have always been in this physical world and are now truly free. Thank you for all you have taught us! You will live on through all the memories we’ve made!

Visitation will be held at Schlientz & Moore Funeral Home- 1632 Wayne Ave. Dayton OH on Saturday -February 22, 2020 at 11:00am - 12:00pm, with service to follow.
She will be interred at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens- 7317 Old National Trail Brookville OH.
