Obituary for Larry Lee Channels Sr.
Larry L. Channels Sr., 83, of Xenia, OH, went home to be with the Lord March 4, 2020.
He was born on August 4,1936 in Wilberforce, OH to John and Irene Channels.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents John and Irene; Sisters Elouise Charleston, Charlotte Porter, Linda Hull; Brothers Johnny Channels and Dennis Channels, and sons Jerry Channels Sr. and Brian Channels.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of many years Jerry (Diana) Channels; Siblings Clyde (Elaine) Channels, Carolyn (Melvin) Hardwick, Iva (Bo) Johnson, Esther (Kevin) Johnson, Kathy Harding, and Michael Channels. His children Marty (Lorraine) Channels, Terry (Kim) Channels, Harold Channels, Matthew Channels (Shateel Thakkar), Larry Channels Jr, Brenda (Benny) Pardue, Judy (Jimmy) Darnell, Cindy Channels, Tim Channels (Milani) and Mary Lewis (Tony Smith) all of Xenia OH. He is also survived by a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends including a very dear lifetime friend Ed (Gloria) Wingard.
Larry loved hunting, fishing, camping, and all-time lover of baseball (Braves). He shared the love of baseball- but not the team- with his grandson Stephen Lewis II; to which the same is being shared with HIS daughter Callie.
Eternal Life - Larry lives thru US!
Also, we all know the infamous garden shared with neighbors or whomever was in need. Larry was never a selfish man; very loving and caring.
He will be greatly missed by all.
At this time services have been rescheduled at a later date. We will post date/time once that info is available.
In lieu of flowers, monetary donations can be made directly to the family for memorial expenses, as well as unforeseen future expenses.
