Obituary for Jonah Benjamin Dobbs

Tipp City, OH – DOBBS, Jonah Benjamin, age 20 of Tipp City, passed away tragically on Saturday, February 22, 2020. He was born in Dayton, Ohio to proud parents, Brandy and Aaron Dobbs. Jonah graduated from Bethel High School in 2017.

After graduating high school Jonah went on to work for Swihart Industries and then started a promising career with Spectrum. Jonah had an entrepreneurial spirit and loved to fix things. He started his own business, Dobbs Auto Detailing at the age of 17. Even at a young age he loved to bring greatness into all aspects of his life. He was a kind, caring, motivated, and loving young man. Jonah will be remembered for his smile that could light up a room and his laugh that brought a smile to anyone who heard him. In in his free time, Jonah enjoyed working out, listening to music, and cars. Jonah had a heart for serving others and loved his family and friends.

He was a passionate, loving, and compassionate son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin, uncle, and friend. He will be lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

Jonah leaves to cherish his memory, loving parents, Brandy and Aaron Dobbs; siblings, Aaron “A.J.” (Jordan) Dobbs II, Noah Dobbs, Daniel Dobbs, and Miranda Dobbs; grandmother, Janice Barnhart; grandparents, Melvin Bruce and Sharon Lee Dobbs; aunts and uncles, Rachel (Scott) Darnell and Bryon (Bonnie) Dobbs; cousins, Andrew Darnell, Emma Darnell; and Amanda Dobbs; niece, Nahlia Dobbs; best friend, Hailey Zimmerman; and countless other loving family members and dear friends.

Jonah had a passion for always bettering himself and inspiring those around him. He would want everyone in his life and around him to remember his legacy and “Go be Great”.


Viewing to be held at New Life Worship Center (3350 Benchwood Rd., Dayton, OH 45414) on Thursday, February 27, 2020 from 5pm – 8pm. A funeral honoring Jonah’s life be held on Friday, February 28, 2020 at 11am with Pastor Tom Friend officiating. Interment to follow at Dayton Memory Gardens.
