Obituary for Mostyn LeRoy Fry

FRY, Mostyn L, 72, of Huber Heights, Ohio passed away at Hospice of Dayton and was carried home by God’s angels on August 27, 2020.

He was born on July 14, 1948 in Dayton, Ohio. Mostyn is survived by his brother, Douglas Fry of Prescott, Arizona and sister, Anita (Fry) Edwards of West Carrollton, Ohio. He is also survived by his nephews Kyle Fry, Scott (Sarah) Fry, Mark Fry, Erik (Shelley) Edwards, William Edwards, Benjamin Fry and nieces Dawn (Goodpaster) Ritchie, Kristi (Fry) Muro, Jamie (Fry) Frieszell, their children and grandchildren as well as many cousins and friends.

He graduated from Meadowdale High School in 1966 and made a career as a mechanical engineer having owned his own business, US Design Corp. He was an official member of the North American Fishing Club and the North American Hunting Club.

Mostyn was a very caring, loving and generous man who enjoyed playing golf, fishing, hunting, cooking, gardening, and canning his vegetables. He made the best applesauce, pickled beets, jams, desserts and rum cake and loved sharing them with friends and family. Mostyn will be sorely missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

Mostyn is preceded in death by his parents, Robert (Bob) Fry and Margaret (Smith) Fry, his older brother James (Mike) Fry, twin sister Sandra (Sandy) Goodpaster and nephew, Matthew (Matt) Edwards.

Mostyn’s Celebration of Life will be held on September 19, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Schlientz and Moore Funeral Home, 1632 Wayne Avenue, Dayton, OH 45410 (masks requested).

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to Hospice of Dayton.
